AniMac Design (‘AniMac’) seeks to provide you with a personal bespoke service and is ever conscious of your individual needs and design requirements. As such we may need to engage in exchanges of information with you. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices with regard to our communications with you and by using or ordering products from our website animacdesign.co.uk (the ‘Website’) you accept and consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We comply fully with GDPR and set out below what contact we are likely to have with you, the data we collect from you, when that data is collected, how it is used, where it is stored and which third parties have access to that data.

Website Hosting

The Website is hosted on the Wix.com (“Wix”) platform. Wix provides us with the online platform that allows us to communicate with you. Your data may be stored through Wix’s data storage, databases and the general Wix applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Wix uses cookies for important reasons, such as:

Contact Form submitted from the website

We treat this as a legitimate interest. Your name, email address and message will be stored on our website Contacts List held by Wix. We receive notification of that contact and will reply to you by email – these are stored on our company mail server Gmail and are deleted after 2 years, or earlier if a deletion request is made by you.

An order has been placed

You have entered into a contract with us to provide you with a product or service. Your name, email, address, the item details and payment amount are stored on our website Orders List held by Wix. We are also notified of the above by email and this is stored on our company mail server Gmail. If you have paid via PayPal or Stripe, our account with them will hold the above information under our Payments Received. We never have access to your payment information and never hold onto any payment information other than your name and the amount paid. This information is held for 5 years to comply with our UK tax responsibilities. We do hold some logistical information for our wedding stationery clients in relation to their event but any unused printed material is securely shredded onsite and the very minimum of information is held on our company laptop but can be deleted on request once your order has been completed.

Mailing List

Our Mailing List requires your explicit consent. When you join our mailing list, your name and email address are held on our website Contacts List held by Wix. You will only ever receive the information you have consented to. You will be able to unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time by either clicking the ‘unsubscribe’button at the bottom of our emails or by sending a direct written request to us at info@animacdesign.co.uk.

Any direct emails to us are held on our company mail server Gmail and are deleted after 2 years, or earlier if a deletion request is made by you

The information we learn from customers helps us personalise and continually improve your shopping experience with us. We use this information to handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments and furthermore to communicate with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers as well as to update our records. We also use this information to improve platform, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf. You can choose not to provide certain information.

We take your privacy and the processing of your information very seriously and DO NO and will NEVER sell your details to third parties. Our third party partners i.e. Wix, Gmail, PayPal, Stripe and Google Analytics fully comply with the GDPR regulations. We are not responsible for any data collected by third party partners and you can check their privacy policies by clicking on their names above.

We use PayPal.com and Stripe as our payment solutions for the very reason that it means your financial details are entirely protected through their systems.

Postal communication is discouraged but if required for purposes of notice or return of products please notify us on the aforementioned dedicated email address or via the Website and we will supply you with a contact postal address.

We may from time-to-time update this Privacy Policy in accordance with GDPR guidelines and any changes will take effect immediately. Changes will appear on this page and will not otherwise be notified to users of the Website.
