2018 was a very busy year, and I made lots of behind-the-scenes changes that involved separating the two areas of the business: animacdesign and animacwedding. These changes made it much easier for me to share a little bit more on social media and through my blogs, without feeling that I was spamming followers with irrelevant information.
The start of the year is always a bit hectic here...lots of wedding enquiries arrive, I have to make lots of stock for Mount Stuart for their opening at the end of March and my other retail outlets need to be stocked. I also undertake some graphic design projects for Visit Bute, Argyll's Secret Coast and I work on updating the Bute Studio Trail website.
I've been trying to remember to take more photos of work-in-progress and have been sharing some of these recently, like these Loretta earrings. I'll definitely try to do more of this as I think it's nice to see how things progress.
It's amazing how you can lose perspective of all the good things that happened when you're in the thick of your business and 2018 was a pretty incredible year all round, with new opportunities and exciting new projects that will come to fruition in 2019. I also added a new retailer - the fabulous Tig Gallery in Tighnabruaich, which has given me an outlet in the beautiful Argyll's Secret Coast.
Now that my busy start to the year is over, I can get on with some new designs, get cracking on wedding orders, and I might even get to see more of the wonderful Jessica (my big ginger horse!).
